If you've booked with us before, or you're looking at our booking page for the first time, you may have noticed we offer two options: Standard Parking and Premium Early Exit Parking. They're both secure, both at the same location, and both give you that guaranteed space just a 10 to 13-minute walk from the Etihad Stadium and Co-op Live Arena. But they're not the same experience once the event ends — and choosing the wrong one can genuinely affect your night.
Here's a straight, no-nonsense breakdown of what each option actually means so you can book with confidence.
What Standard Parking Gets You
Standard Parking is our core offering, and for most people attending events at the Etihad or Co-op Live, it's exactly what they need.
When you book, you get a guaranteed space in our fully gated, secure site on Hulme Hall Lane — just off the beaten track enough to avoid the chaos, but close enough to be genuinely convenient. You receive instant confirmation by both email and SMS, with a unique QR code that our stewards scan when you arrive. No fumbling for print-outs, no queuing at a kiosk.
On-site, you've got 55 CCTV cameras running 24/7, manned security stewards throughout, clean separate male and female toilet facilities, and vending machines if you need a drink or a snack before heading home. The site is well-lit, gated, and locked during events — so your vehicle is in safe hands while you're inside the venue.
The key thing to understand with Standard Parking is the exit flow. After a large-scale event — whether that's a Manchester City home fixture or a headline show at Co-op Live — thousands of people are all leaving at the same time. As a standard parker, you'll exit as part of that post-event flow, which is managed and organised, but naturally takes a little longer when volume is high.
For most people, that's absolutely fine. You're with the crowd, the atmosphere carries on a bit longer, and you're still home well before midnight.
What Premium Early Exit Parking Gets You
Premium Early Exit Parking is the same space, same security, same QR code check-in — but with one significant difference at the end of the night.
For an additional £3.99 on top of your standard booking, you're allocated to a priority exit zone within the car park. When the event ends, Early Exit customers are guided out first, ahead of the standard flow. That means less waiting around, less congestion, and a noticeably faster journey to the exit.
It's a small price for something that can make a real difference, particularly if you have a long drive home, kids in the car, or you're simply the type who'd rather be moving than standing still in a car park queue.
Early Exit spaces are limited, so this isn't something that's always available right up until the last minute. If it's showing as an option when you book, it's worth considering sooner rather than later.
Which Events Does Each Option Apply To?
Both Standard and Early Exit Parking are available for events at both venues. A couple of things worth knowing before you book:
For Co-op Live events, our car park opens at 2:30pm and closes at midnight. If your event runs late into the evening, plan accordingly — both parking options are available within those hours.
For Etihad Stadium (Manchester City matches), the car park opens two hours before kick-off and closes one hour after full time. If you're planning to stay for the post-match atmosphere in the stadium, just be mindful of that closing window.
So Which One Should You Choose?
Honestly, it comes down to your priorities on the night.
If you're happy to filter out with the crowd after the event, enjoy the buzz a little longer, and you're not in a particular rush, Standard Parking does everything you need. It's secure, well-managed, and competitively priced for what it offers.
If you've got a long drive ahead, an early start the next morning, or you'd just rather skip the post-event wait and get moving, the £3.99 upgrade to Early Exit is worth every penny. Given the volume of people leaving the Etihad or Co-op Live at the same time, shaving even 15 to 20 minutes off your exit time is a genuine quality-of-life improvement.
One thing to keep in mind: because Early Exit spaces are limited, they do sell out. If it's on the table when you're booking, don't assume it'll still be there when you come back to it.
A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Book
Regardless of which option you go for, all bookings are final and non-transferable. Cancellations made seven days or more before your event are eligible for a refund (subject to a £10 admin fee). Cancellations within seven days are strictly non-refundable, so make sure you're confident in your plans before completing your booking.
If you need to update your vehicle registration, you can do that by logging into your account. Any date or time changes are subject to a £15 rescheduling fee and aren't guaranteed within seven days of your event.
